Gemstone Testing & Certification Service – Kimberly Laboratory

Kimberly Laboratory offers a comprehensive service for testing and certifying all types of gemstones, using the latest advanced gemological equipment and conducted by certified expert gemologists. Testing is carried out according to international standards to ensure accurate results and reliable reports.

Contents of the Gemstone Certificate Report:

  • Certificate Number: A unique identification number for each report to ensure traceability and verification.
  • Gemstone Information:
  • Authenticity: Determining whether the gemstone is natural, synthetic, treated, or imitation using advanced testing techniques.
  • Carat Weight: e.g., 2.35 ct.
  • Colour: e.g., Deep Blue, Greenish Yellow, Colorless, etc.
  • Transparency: Transparent, Translucent, Opaque.
  • Cut/Shape: e.g., Oval Mixed Cut, Cushion, Round Brilliant, etc.
  • Measurements: Length × Width × Depth in millimeters (e.g., 9.12 × 7.85 × 4.56 mm).

Physical & Optical Properties:

  • Specific Gravity: e.g., 3.95.
  • Refractive Index: e.g., 1.762 – 1.770.
  • Hardness (Mohs Scale): e.g., 9.0.

Advanced Testing:

  • Microscopic Evaluation: Observation of internal inclusions such as crystals, feathers, or fingerprints.
